According to the grace of God, the one given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one is to look how he builds, for no ones has the inherent ability to lay another alongside the foundation, which is Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 3:10–11)
Through Paul, God gave us the doctrine of grace—the rules of the household of grace. The righteous live out from faith, not by Law. When we build upon the foundation that has been laid, which is Jesus Christ, our works are to be of good quality; otherwise, they will be destroyed. Are we performing works to display a sense of self–righteousness, or because we are taking God at His word and living out who we are in Christ?
