And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My inheritance ability in weakness is brought to maturity.” Therefore, more gladly I boast in my weakness, in order that the inherent ability of Christ should tent upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Our weakness does not inhibit God. Whether through sickness or physical limitations, the inherent ability of the life in Christ and the living out of eternal life—because Christ dwells in us—is still able to shine forth. In many cases, because our weaknesses inhibit us from seeking to work out the life we have in Christ through self-effort—which always leads us astray—it is through these weaknesses that we draw closer to Christ and gain a better understanding of God. Therefore, regardless of the physical capabilities that we have, let us take every opportunity to grow in our understanding of salvation and learn to live it out.
