Yet, the law is not out from faith, but the man doing these things will continue to live by them (Galatians 3:12).
The righteous will live out from faith. This means the source of their conduct comes from belief in the fulfillment of a promise given to them by God. Any quality of law that dictates a person’s conduct is not out from faith, for law does not require faith in God—only adherence to its rules—resulting in an outward appearance of righteousness, not an inward belief in God that manifests itself through a person’s conduct.
Faith without works is dead, but works without faith do not produce righteousness. The works of the law are not out from faith; therefore, no one can be justified before God through the works of the law. Set aside the law, and seek to do His commandments for the grace believer: believe on His Son, love other believers, and abide in Christ (1 John 3:23–24).
