Galatians 3:8–9
Memory Verse
And the Scripture, foreseeing that out from faith God would justify the Gentiles, was before evangelized to Abraham that, “All the nations will be well-spoken of in you.” So that those out from faith are well-spoken of with the faith of Abraham (Galatians 3:8).
In Genesis 12:3, God states to Abraham that He will bless him, and all the families of the earth will be blessed in him. As the Lord and His angels walked towards Sodom to bring destruction upon the valley because of its wickedness, He spent some time with Abraham. During this time, God chose to reveal to Abraham what was about to happen, for in Abraham all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 18:18).
Through Abraham came the Christ, who died on behalf of the sin of the people (Isaiah 53:5), and was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Through Christ, God fulfilled the good news He said to Abraham, blessing the Gentiles so that they would also receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14).
Since through Israel’s stumble, salvation came to the Gentiles (Romans 11:11), imagine how incredible the reconciliation of Israel will be (Romans 11:12).
