Memory Verse

And Adam knew Eve, his wife and she conceived and bore Cain, and she said, “I have acquired a highborn man from the LORD.” (Genesis 4:1)

In Genesis 4:1, an expression of faith by Eve is recorded. God told her that her seed would crush the head of the serpent, who thoroughly deceived her. Cain’s name is derived from the one who purchases or acquires. Eve’s statement shows that she believed God would bring salvation through her seed from the curse brought on by their disobedience .

There is no record or indication that Adam expressed faith towards God after his trespass and sin, which corrupted his nature by separating his spirit from God and brought physical death unto all.
