Romans 1:20
Memory Verse
For the invisible things concerning Him from a creation of a world to the understanding things made have been caused to be clearly perceived, both His everlasting natural ability and Divinity, resulting in them being without excuse, Romans 1:20.
A quality of God’s wrath abides today upon all those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because they are without excuse. From the renovation of the earth for the creation of man—described in Genesis chapter 1, God has made His natural ability and divinity known through His work in creation.
When God created man, He made Adam in His likeness and image (Genesis 1:26). This likeness means that humans are intelligent beings with the inherent ability to understand. Even after Adam’s sin and the resulting corruption of his nature, humans still possess logic and therefore can comprehend God’s existence through the world and the universe.
The rejection of this rational display of God’s natural ability and divinity causes men to become corrupt in their minds and reject the truth. The theory of evolution fully displays this futility of mind that comes from rejection of truth. The absurdity of their claims goes beyond even basic logic and reasoning. Although some scientists today reject the theory because it contradicts facts, many still refuse to accept the alternative: this world and all that is in it, including humans, were created.
