There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1)

With the mind we serve God, but with the flesh we serve the sin nature. We cannot live the Christian life by means of law, for the law gives strength to the sin nature. Having died with Christ and been co-raised to walk in newness of life, we are no longer under condemnation. Therefore, when we walk according to the Spirit, we are able to fulfill the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus—free from the law—to live a life of righteousness.

Some of your translations may include the phrase, 'who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit,' in verse 1. However, this phrase was added later—borrowed from verse 4—in an attempt to justify a works-based salvation. It is not part of the original letter. There is truly no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because we have been taken out of Adam and placed into Christ.
