For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed unto us (Romans 8:18).
We have not received a spirit of bondage to fear, but a Spirit of son placement. Remember, the actual Greek word for adoption is not used in Scripture. We are not adopted into His family; we become legitimate children when His seed is placed in us by the washing and regeneration of the Holy Spirit. We are then placed in Christ as sons—those who do not need law to dictate their actions because they possess the ability to discern what is proper from what is wrong, knowing and doing the desirous will of God. Therefore, as children, we are joint heirs with Christ. This is manifest in the fact that as He suffered, we also suffer. As we manifest a quality of the life of Christ, who now indwells us, the darkness seeks to suppress us, just as it did Him. However, when God has finished His work, the final state we will be in is so much greater than now—not even the depths of our suffering can compare. They are little in the face of what God has given us in Christ.
Thank you for what appears to be at least a part of your mission statement:
"Passionate about ( seeing God, by means of HIS Spirit, through HIS Word, change ) the lives of believers through equipping them to live out who they are in Christ, so they are no longer tossed around by every wind of (false, heretical) teaching by the trickery of (deceitful) men who cunningly seek to deceive the saints."
Well said! Thank you so much.
